Luke Fire Fully Contained, Scott Fire 17-Percent Contained South Of Flagstaff

Two lightning-caused fires south of Flagstaff are getting under control from the help from Mother Nature, and a large group of wildland firefighters.  The Luke Fire is now 100-percent contained at nine acres.  That fire started back on July 31st just off Interstate-17 near Stoneman Lake.  The Scott Fire is now 17-percent contained and has burned 164 acres.  There has been no new growth on either fire since suppression efforts began Sunday.  Smoke may be visible over the next few days on the Scott Fire as fire crews continue to gain containment.  Monsoon activity helped those efforts Monday and more storms are predicted the rest of the week.
