Winter Weather Advisory Issued Through New Years Morning For Areas Above 6,000-Feet

A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect for areas above 6,000-feet in Northern Arizona as another winter storm heads in. The advisory will be in effect from 11 p.m. Thursday through 5 a.m. New Years Day. The advisory area includes Flagstaff, Williams, Prescott and Doney Park. Forecasters have downgraded expected snowfall totals a little, as a more southerly track for the storm is expected. Officials say expect three-to-five inches of snow in Flagstaff and Williams, two-to-four inches of snow in Doney Park and up to an inch in Prescott. If you have to travel through New Year’s Day in Northern Arizona, use caution and keep your eye on the weather.
