Lane Restrictions on State Route 179 begin Wednesday

The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising drivers to plan for delays and restrictions Wednesday and Thursday along State Route 179 north of Interstate 17, between the interstate and the Village of Oak Creek. From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., crews will be working on lane-striping along a six-mile stretch. Highway 179 will be limited to one lane with alternating north and southbound travel. Speed limits will be reduced to 45 miles-per-hour and drivers are advised to drive with caution through the work zone. For more information, visit ADOT’s website.
