Lane And Ramp Closures Monday On The I-17/1-40 Interchange In Flagstaff

Lane and ramp closures begin Monday on the Interstate-17/Interstate-40 interchange in Flagstaff. ADOT crews will work paving and painting ramps and lanes at the transition. The southbound I-17 to westbound I-40 ramp will be closed. Traffic will be directed to John Wesley Powell Boulevard and re-enter northbound I-17 to the eastbound I-40 ramp, then exit at Butler Road and re-enter westbound I-40. The southbound I-17 to eastbound I-40 ramp will also be closed. The same detour will be used. The northbound I-17 to westbound I-40 ramp will be closed. Northbound I-17 traffic will enter eastbound I-40 to exit Butler Road and come back on westbound I-40. Closures are necessary for crews to complete final paving work after replacing four bridge decks at the I-17 and I-40 junction last year. Drivers should expect delays between 5 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday.
