The Coconino County Board of Supervisors have appointed Jeronimo Vasquez as District 2 supervisor. The board interviewed 12 people for the seat and unanimously decided on Vasquez. He is a long time resident of District 2 and is a graduate of Coconino High School and NAU. Vasquez is currently the 21st Century Community Learning Center Coordinator at Killip Elementary School. He says. “I am very honored and humbled to be appointed to this role. The 2nd district and this community is in my heart. I look forward to serving the people of this district and our entire county.” He takes office immediately and will finish out the final two years of Liz Archuleta’s term. She resigned last month to accept a position in the Biden Administration.
