A high speed chase that started in Bellemont, ended in Flagstaff late Sunday night. DPS officials say a state trooper saw a vehicle traveling at around 100 miles-per-hour on eastbound Interstate-40 near Williams at around 10:39 p.m. The trooper attempted to pull the 2020 black Chevy Camaro over, but it continued toward Flagstaff. DPS backed off the pursuit and Flagstaff Police and Coconino County Sheriff’s deputies took over in monitoring the vehicle, along with DPS. The vehicle was later seen in a neighborhood in east Flagstaff, but a suspect has not yet been found. There is no description of the suspect, but DPS says the person is not believed to be a threat to the community. If anyone has information into the incident, or the suspect’s whereabouts, call 911. The incident remains under investigation.
