An early morning accident made a mess of things on southbound Interstate-17 south of Flagstaff. DPS says a truck hauling hay lost its load of hay at around 3:35 a.m. in the southbound lanes at milepost 333 near Kachina Village. ADOT says hay also went over to the northbound lanes. ADOT briefly closed southbound I-17 to clean up the hay and wood that were scattered everywhere. After a short time, the highway was reopened. No one was injured in the accident. I-17 has returned to normal.
