One of the jewels of Arizona will stay closed until next year. The Havasupai Tribe announced Friday that they will keep Havasupai Falls closed until February 1st, 2022. The Havasupai Tribal Council made the decision “because the coronavirus poses a grave public health threat to the Havasupai Tribe.” They decided to implement “many proactive measures to prevent the spread to the Reservation, including restriction of all travel into the Reservation.” People with reservations for the falls during the suspension, who have not already rebooked, will be rescheduled for the same date in 2022. The tribe says no further reservations will be taken for the rest of the 2021 or for the 2022 tourist season. For more information on reservations, log onto havasupaireservations.com.
