The Harkins Theaters in Flagstaff, Sedona and Prescott Valley will reopen Friday, August 28th. Officials with Harkins made the announcement Friday in a press release. When the theaters reopen, face coverings are required for employees and guests, except when eating or drinking in seats. Social distancing will be required as well. The theater will have extra cleaning staff and there will be daily health checks of employees. Showtimes will also be staggered to reduce the number of people in the lobby. Harkins loyalty cups will be refilled using a new paper cup, with all other refills on paper drink and popcorn containers being discontinued. Sanitizer stations will be available throughout the facility and increased fresh air will be used in all auditoriums. The theaters have been closed since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
