Flagstaff has a new city manager. Mayor Coral Evans and the Flagstaff City Council have selected Greg Clifton for the position. Clifton comes to Flagstaff from Colorado, where he has worked as the city attorney for the city of Montrose and was town manager for Ridgeway, Telluride and Vail in the past 25 years. He has had numerous involvement is statewide organizations related to his profession, including several years with the Colorado Municipal League, where he served as president and the Colorado Association of Ski Towns. His wife Tammy works as a hospice nurse and he has two children. Clifton was selected out of more than 50 applicants, and four finalists. He will begin his tenure as Flagstaff City Manager on August 25th. He will replace Barbara Goodrich, who has served as city manager and plans to retire.
