Today is a rare astrological event that’s being dubbed as the Great Conjunction. It’s the first time since 1623 and the closest since 1226 that Jupiter and Saturn will be in line to Earth. This alignment will create the “Christmas Star” or what’s known as the “Star of Bethlehem.” Tonight’s forecast is calling for clear skies, so an hour after sunset, look to the southwest. Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff is conducting an online event starting at 5 p.m. Just log onto Lowell’s YouTube channel to see the event.
