Grand Canyon National Park Will Slowly Lift Water Restrictions As Water Delivery Is Being Restored

The Grand Canyon National Park will begin easing water restrictions now that the North and South rims water delivery has been restored. In a press release from the National Park Service, officials say the amount of water in the reservoir tanks is rising daily. Once a certain level is met, the park will continue to ease the water restrictions. Beginning Tuesday, the north and south rim camper services will re-open to the public. Water spigots at Mather and Desert View Campground will be on and concessionaires will no longer be required to use disposable utensils at the restaurants. Restrictions will still remain in place, so be aware of your water usage during your trip. Drinking water is available at Supai Tunnel on the North Kaibab Trail and at Manzanita Resthouse, Cottonwood Campground, and Phantom Ranch.
