The Grand Canyon National Park will stay open, but with further closures due to the coronavirus pandemic. National Park officials say as of noon Friday, the Grand Canyon will offer very limited services. Services and operations suspended will be backcountry permits for camping at Bright Angel, Indian Garden and Cottonwood campgrounds. All access to Bright Angel, South Kaibab and North Kaibab trails will be closed, along with South Rim Trailer Village. The Coconino County Board of Supervisors has called for the closure of the park. That decision belongs to Secretary of Interior David Bernhardt.
