Governor Ducey’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected” Will Expire Friday

Governor Doug Ducey’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected” order will expire on Friday. Ducey made the announcement at a press conference Tuesday afternoon. The governor announced that gyms and pools can reopen Wednesday and professional sports can return in Arizona after Friday. The previous order will be replaced Friday with a new order entitled: “Stay Healthy, Return Smarter, Return Stronger.” Ducey recommends vulnerable people should remain at home until further notice. He says businesses should develop and implement appropriate polices, which includes social distancing and other suggestions the federal government recommends. Ducey also says there will be required testing at long-term care facilities, expanded testing of inmates and corrections officers and staff and enhancing contact tracing of positive COVID-19 subjects. The governor recommends all people should continue to social distance and wear masks in public.
