Governor Ducey Orders Flags To Fly At Half-Staff Monday

Flags will fly at half-staff Monday in observance of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. On December 7th, 1941, 79 years ago, over 24-hundred American lives were lost when the Japanese launched a surprise attack on U.S. forces in Hawaii. Governor Doug Ducey issued a statement Sunday saying “on the day that changed our nation forever, American service members displayed unwavering bravery, which was carried on by those who fought to defend our freedom during World War II.” He added, “thank you to all who defend our nation, and may God bless our country and the families of those who lost their lives at Pearl Harbor.”
