Governor Doug Ducey announced Tuesday the Arizona Department of Economic Security will be launching a new Emergency Rental Assistance Program to provide financial assistance and housing stability in rural Arizona. Governor Ducey says “the rental assistance program will keep families and those in need in their homes and help them get back on their feet as we overcome the effects of the pandemic.” He adds; “We will continue to work closely with community and local government partners to efficiently deliver this relief.” DES was recently awarded 289-million dollars from the recently passed COVID-19 relief package, to go toward the program.
