There is a good chance areas of Northern Arizona will see the season’s first chance of measurable snow, with two storms expected to move through this week. The National Weather Service is calling for a chance of rain and snow showers starting Monday night and lasting into Tuesday afternoon. Little to no accumulation is expected above 65-hundred feet with this storm, however one-to-three inches could fall up at Snowbowl. Then on Thursday, a much stronger storm will begin to move through Northern Arizona, bringing strong winds and rain initially. Rain will turn to snow Thursday night, then snow showers are expected through Friday and finally exiting on Saturday. Right now forecaster say about one-to-five inches of snow is possible above six-thousand feet, with over six-inches above eight-thousand feet. Be prepared for winter driving conditions Thursday night through Saturday.
