Gas prices are up again this week around the state, but the surge is slowing. Triple-A Arizona says the average price of gas in the state is $3.11 a gallon, which is up nearly three-cents a gallon from last week. In Flagstaff, gas prices are up three-and-a-half cents from last week to $3.15 a gallon. Some stations are selling gas for $2.99 a gallon. In Prescott, gas is up over four-cents from last week to $3.12 a gallon. Some stations are selling gas for $2.99 a gallon as well. Prices haven’t leveled off yet as demand is still outpacing supply. Another factor officials say is ramped up COVID vaccinations that has people starting to get back to life, which means more travel and with that means more demand for gas.
