Gas prices rose this week across the state. Triple-A Arizona says the average price of gas in the state rose over six-cents a gallon to $2.29 a gallon. In Flagstaff, gas prices are up nearly seven-cents a gallon on average from last week to $2.42 a gallon. Some stations are selling gas for $2.39 and lower. In Prescott, gas prices were up three-cents a gallon to $2.31. Some stations are selling gas for $2.19 and lower. Officials say the reason for the sudden rise is an increase in the price of oil, despite plummeting demand.
