Gas prices are heading back up across Arizona. Triple-A Arizona says prices at the pump are up six-cents a gallon this week to $2.26 a gallon on average. Gas prices are also up six-cents a gallon this week in Flagstaff to $2.40 a gallon. Some stations are selling gas for $2.23 a gallon and lower. In Prescott, gas is up three-and-a-half cents this week to $2.27 a gallon. Some stations are selling gas for $2.19 and lower. Officials say the rise in prices is due to increased demand since people are returning to work due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though gas prices are going higher, we are still well-below last year’s average of $3.04 a gallon.
