Gas prices are unchanged coming off the Fourth of July holiday. Triple-A Arizona says the average price of gas stayed at $3.12 a gallon this week. Triple-A spokesman Aldo Vazquez says even though gas prices are stable now, it won’t last long. He says, “nationwide we are seeing a robust gasoline demand.” Vazquez adds however, “we had OPEC global crude production increases will bring some relief at the pump this month, but over the weekend OPEC negotiations fell through with no agreement reached, so as a result crude prices are set to surge to a seven-year high.” In Flagstaff, gas was also unchanged from a week ago, staying at $3.39 a gallon on average. Some stations are selling gas for $3.29 a gallon and lower. In Prescott, gas was lower by about a cent this week as it fell to $3.12 a gallon. Some stations are selling gas for $2.99 a gallon and lower.
