Gas prices in Arizona are down a cent on average this week. Triple-A Arizona says the average price of gas is $3.13 a gallon. Spokesman Aldo Vazquez says there are several reasons why gas prices have leveled off in recent weeks. He says nationwide “Summer demand is likely softening as the school year starts and concerns about transmission of COVID-19 grows as infection rates continue to increase.” Vazquez adds, “elevated crude prices continue to keep pump prices high as the end of the Summer draws near.” In Flagstaff, gas prices are unchanged from last week, sitting at $3.43 a gallon. Some stations are selling gas for $3.25 a gallon and lower. In Prescott this week gas prices are also unchanged on average. The price at the pump once again is $3.16 a gallon. Some stations are selling gas for $3.06 and lower.
