The Flagstaff Unified School District has adjusted its school re-entry plan after Wednesday’s executive order by Governor Doug Ducey. The governor said yesterday that classes must resume by March 15th, or after spring break. The Governing Board recently voted on several items related to a return to in person learning starting with the first group of students returning March 22nd, the second going back the following week. This model would include in person instruction, with the option for remote learning still available. The district says that after Ducey’s order, fourth and fifth graders, originally set to return to in-person study on March 29th, will now return to school on March 22nd. Seventh, eighth, tenth and eleventh graders will still return on March 29th. The district has posted a mitigation plan for preventing the spread of COVID-19, and what to do if students or teachers become sick.
