Friday is the 19th anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington D.C. Terrorists hijacked four planes, with two going into the twin towers, one into the Pentagon and the other crashing in Pennsylvania. In Prescott Valley, the Healing Field of Northern Arizona is up at the Prescott Valley Town Center. The field has 2,977 United States flags on display, plus one for each of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who died in the Yarnell Hill Fire. The display will be in place through Friday. Winslow was one of the first communities to receive pieces of the World Trade Center. Two large steel beams now stands at a memorial on Third Street, where a ceremony is planned at the 9-11 Remembrance Garden tomorrow at 5 p.m. Local officials will be on hand. Over three-thousand people died from the attacks on September 11th, 2001.
