Fredonia Mayor, Son Killed In A Head-On Collision Near Arizona-Utah Border March 16th

Funerals were held Saturday for Fredonia Mayor Christy Riddle, and her son Trevor Burrows, who were killed in a head-on collision March 16th on the Navajo Nation near the Arizona-Utah border. The accident happened on Navajo Route 20, also known as the back road to Page. Riddle was serving in her first term as mayor or Fredonia. She spent many years working in the Fredonia-Moccasin Unified School District before deciding to run for mayor. Coconino County District 5 Supervisor Lena Fowler says, “Mayor Christy Riddle was an exemplary public servant who worked tirelessly to turn Fredonia into a self-sufficient community,” She adds, “she sought solutions by bringing people together and making positive changes. Her tragic loss is felt throughout our county.”
