Four Year Old Boy Dies After A Domestic Dispute In Clarkdale

A four-year-old boy has died after he was injured in a domestic dispute that led to an officer-involved shooting in Clarkdale last week. Police were called to a home near 11th and Main Streets at around 3 p.m. after receiving a call about an injured person last Thursday. Officers located the boy, who had been repeatedly struck in the head with a guitar by his father, 33-year-old Joshua David Hernandez Lord. The boy’s mother, a 51-year-old woman, was also hit in the head and suffered a skull fracture. They both were taken to Flagstaff Medical Center. The boy died on Friday. While officers tried to protect the boy, Lord continued his aggressive behavior toward the officer, causing the officer to taze him. When that didn’t work, the officer fatally shot Lord. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
