Flash Flood Watch In Effect Through Thursday For Yavapai County

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for Yavapai County for through Thursday, which includes Prescott, Cottonwood, Camp Verde and Sedona. The watch also includes Sycamore and Oak Creek Canyons. The watch will be in effect until 5 p.m. Thursday. The National Weather Service says localized rainfall amounts could exceed an inch in less than an hour, with storm total amounts reaching near three inches. The rainfall rates can result in strong, rapidly rising water in area washes. If you come to a flooded crossing, don’t cross it.
