There was a flareup in the Museum Fire burn area Wednesday that caused a bit of a stir. Flagstaff Police say they have received several calls over the past few days from people reporting smoke coming from the area. Authorities say even though the Museum Fire is 100-percent contained, smoke will come from the area from time to time and fuels in the area could continue to burn or smolder. Also ash could be kicked up by dust-devils and windy conditions as the area dries out from lack of Monsoon moisture. Forest service officials are monitoring the area.
