Flagstaff’s Winter Parking Ordinance Begins Sunday

It’s that time of the year again when the City of Flagstaff’s winter parking ordinance goes into effect Sunday. Winter parking restrictions will be in play until April 1st. During that time, parking on city streets and alleyways is prohibited from midnight to 7 a.m. The restriction allows crews to thoroughly plow the streets during snow events and remains in effect if it’s not snowing to help street sweepers. There are exemptions to the restrictions contained within the ordinance for the downtown area and exempted areas to the parking prohibition. Police will ticket vehicles if they are parking on city streets snow or no snow. For more information, log onto the city’s website.
