Flagstaff’s Mountain Line Receives A $17.3-Million Dollar Grant

The Federal Transportation Administration has awarded Flagstaff’s Mountain Line $17.3-million dollars through a grant. The money will go toward the construction of a new Downtown Connection Center and the purchase of zero-emission vehicles. Flagstaff was up against New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago for grant money. The award is one of the highest paid grants given during this grant cycle. The location will remain where it currently resides at Phoenix Avenue between Beaver Street and Milton Road. The Mountain Line currently serves more than two-and-a-half million people a year on nine routes.
