The Mountain Line is reducing services on two routes due to staffing shortages. Starting Monday, Route 2 and Route 4 will continue to operate, but it will be on a weekend schedule for frequency, but with the weekday span of service. Officials say that means the routes will start and end at around the same time they currently do on weekdays, but busses will not run as often. Mountain Line CEO and General Manager Heather Dalmolin says the decision was made “in order to prioritize service reliability for our riders and work-life balance for our staff.” She adds, “service cuts are a last resort, and we will focus our efforts on recruitment and retention so we can restore full service in a sustainable manner.” For more information log onto mountainline.az.gov.
