Flagstaff Mayor Paul Deasy has declared a State of Emergency, due monsoonal flooding in areas impacted by post-Pipeline Fire flooding that started on July 16th. Declaring a State of Emergency makes the city eligible for additional resources to support disaster response, such as disaster grant assistance for costs associated with public infrastructure damage, including debris removal, emergency protective measures, and the restoration of disaster-damaged, publicly owned facilities. Neighborhoods along Schultz Creek near Highway 180 have been hit with flood waters since Monsoon rains have ramped up in recent weeks.
