Flagstaff’s Billy Weldon Given A National Award Tuesday

One of Flagstaff’s favorites was honored during the 4:30 session of last night’s City Council meeting. Billy Weldon was honored with the 2019 “Leader of America Award” presented to him by the CrisCom Company. CrisCom provides clients with governmental and public affairs consulting services, building strong foundations with government officials, the business community and the media. This is the latest in a long line of awards Billy has won, including being nominated for America’s Favorite Crossing Guard. Weldon is a Vietnam War veteran and is the commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart chapter in Flagstaff. He also played a large role in the Veteran’s Home currently under construction on McMillan Mesa.
