Flagstaff Unified School District Changes Dress Code, Now Allowing Hats And Beanies

Flagstaff Unified School District came out with a statement Tuesday stating hats, beanies, and hoodies will be allowed at school beginning Monday, March 21st, due to next week being off for Spring Break. Head accessories will be allowed in hallways, commons, and outdoors but is only allowed in classrooms with the teacher’s permission. This change has come due to the input given by students and staff in accordance with the District’s Policy JICA Student Dress. Within the first few days of the new changes, teachers will talk to students about expectations with the new dress code and discuss safety conditions in the classroom.
