Flagstaff To Enter Stage 3 Fire Restrictions Friday

The City of Flagstaff will enter Stage Three fire restrictions on Friday. Stage three include restrictions on the use of propane and gas barbecues, including those with an on-off switch, in city parks, open spaces and private campgrounds. However, the use of those items is allowed at private residences except during a Red Flag Warning. Public access to FUTS trails that provide an entrance into any closed area of the Coconino National Forest is prohibited. In the event of a complete closure of the Coconino National Forest, public use of Observatory Mesa and Picture Canyon will be prohibited. The city asks the community to keep our neighborhoods and forests safe by following all bans and restrictions.
