Flagstaff Ties A Record High Thursday Which Was Previously Set In 1943

Flagstaff tied a record high Thursday that was set 77 years ago. The National Weather Service says the high topped out at 92 degrees at Flagstaff Pulliam Airport, which ties the previous high of 92 set in 1943. A new record high was set in Winslow at 105 degrees and it was 101 at Prescott Love Field, which set a new high for the date previously set in 1978 with 99 degrees. Temperatures are expected to be as high, if not a little higher Friday, which means more records are likely to fall. Highs are expected to cool down a few degrees this weekend with the Monsoon coming back into play by the middle of next week.
