There has been a rise of cases of COVID-19 in the Flagstaff area over the past couple of weeks. One of the reasons is due to a small outbreak at Flagstaff Shelter Services. At least 20 people have tested positive for COVID-19 at the facility, including two staff members. All of those tested were asymptomatic. The “Arizona Daily Sun” reports the cases came from a batch of tests that were sent to TGen Labs in Flagstaff for testing. The shelter can hold about 125 people, however the paper reports the facility has seen around 40-to-65 people at their main location. Coconino County has seen 81 positive cases of COVID-19 this week, 20 have come from the Flagstaff area, according to Thursday’s report.
