Many cities and towns in Northern Arizona have already surpassed last year’s total Monsoon season. The National Weather Service says at Prescott Love Field, 1.81 inches of rain has fallen since June 15th, compared to 2020 when 1.32 inches of rain total. In Prescott Valley, 1.46 inches of rain has fallen so far, compared to 1.17 inches of rain total in the 2020 Monsoon season. At the Flagstaff Airport, so far this Monsoon season 1.86 inches of rain has fallen, which is more than the 1.78 inches of rain fell from June 15th through September 30th. The big winner is Walnut Canyon National Park. So far, they have received 4.77 inches of rain, which is almost five times the amount they received in last year’s Monsoon season. Forecasters say expect a good chance of showers through at least the middle of next week.
