Deputy Police Chief Dan Musselman of the Flagstaff Police Department will appear in front of the Flagstaff City Council during Tuesday’s work session to talk about their current police practices and procedures. Deputy Chief Musselman will talk to council about what officers do every day, how citizen complaints are investigated and the training they go through to be a member of the department. Council will also receive an update about a land auction coming up of just over 405 acres located south of Interstate-40 and east of John Wesley Powell Boulevard. Symmetry Development, who is the current owner of Pine Canyon, has requested the property be sold at auction. The land does include part of the Arizona Trail, which the city owns the right-of-way and dedicated it as a public trail. The work session begins at 3 p.m. and it can be seen on the city’s website.
