Flagstaff Police Investigating An Armed Robbery Attempt With Possible Shots Fired

Police are investigating an armed robbery attempt that led to shots fired in Flagstaff Thursday night. Officers responded to the 19-hundred block of South Milton Road at around 11:17 p.m. When they arrived, officers met with a woman who said she was walking when she was confronted by a man driving a red vehicle. She said the man rolled the window down and leaned toward her to talk to her. She said the man told her to give him her purse or he would shoot her. The woman walked away from the vehicle with the suspect pointing at her. She then heard a gun shot. She ran into a nearby business as the vehicle sped away. The woman was not injured in the incident. The suspect is described as a Native American man in a red vehicle similar to a Toyota Prius.
