Flagstaff Police responded to a report of a disturbance in southside Flagstaff Monday evening. Officers responded to the 400-block of South San Francisco at around 5:30 p.m. on a report of three people drinking in the Rio de Flag behind the residences. When officers arrived there was a loud verbal altercation that escalated into physical violence in seconds. As the officer was quickly approaching, he saw a stabbing in progress. The subject responded to verbal commands to drop the knife as the officer approached and removed him from the victim, who had cuts on his hands and head.
