Flagstaff Police Asking For Information Into Recent Catalytic Converter Theft

The Flagstaff Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a rash of thefts of Catalytic Converters from vehicles in Flagstaff. The thefts occurred the first week of March and involved the targeting of Toyota Prius vehicles in parking lots and driveways during the overnight hours. During the thefts, the suspect drives up and parks close to the victim vehicle and then jacks the vehicle up and uses tools to remove the Catalytic Converter. The victims often don’t realize the theft has occurred until starting their vehicle the next morning. They then notice the vehicle is extremely loud and inefficient in operation. Video surveillance has shown a white, 2000s model, four door premium sedan connected to the incidents. The vehicle has a sunroof and silver accent striping and a lower profile. If anyone recognizes the vehicle or has information related to the thefts, please contact Flagstaff Police at (928) 679-4120.
