Flagstaff Mayor Coral Evans may not have won a seat in the Arizona State House of Representatives, but she will be busy helping Senator-elect Mark Kelly. The new Senator announced his 13 person bi-partisan transition team Monday, which includes Evans. She joins a team that consists of Sarah Porter, Director of the Kyl Center for Water Policy at Arizona State University, rancher Bill McDonald, former Congressman Ron Barber, Luther Lee Navajo Nation Tribal Director for Congressman Tom O’Halleran and more. Even though the race has been called for Kelly, Senator Martha McSally has yet to concede the race. Kelly can take office as soon as Arizona’s election results have been certified because he would be elected to take over the Senate seat of John McCain.
