The Flagstaff Housing Commission met Thursday to discuss a possible housing bond on the 2022 ballot. The Commission heard a presentation from Housing Director Sarah Darr, who discussed a bond proposed in 2020 with a $30 million budget recommended by the Flagstaff City Council, which would include $10 million towards homelessness prevention and move-in assistance. After the presentation, the commission discussed whether to stick with 2020 recommendations or choose one of several options to revisit the bond, ultimately deciding to revisit it as a whole commission. When it gets passed to council, and if they approve it, the bond would appear on the ballot in 2022.
