January is over and Flagstaff officially recorded the third-snowiest January on record. The National Weather Service says the Flagstaff Airport received 61.4-inches of snow in the month, which is the snowiest January since 1980, when Flagstaff received the second-highest snowfall in the month at 63.4 inches. The record was set in 1949 when 104.8 inches of snow fell in January. Forecasters say we should see warmer temperatures in the daytime through the weekend, which will help thaw things out over the next few days.
