Flagstaff City Council To Discuss The Flagstaff Trails Initiative Tonight At City Hall

The Flagstaff City Council has a full agenda tonight, led by an update and review of the Flagstaff Trails Initiative and draft Flagstaff Regional Trail strategy. The FTI was launched in 2017 and its purpose is to develop and implement a collaborative, cross-jurisdictional strategy for recreational trails in the Flagstaff region. The overall goal is to elevate Flagstaff’s trails from good to extraordinary. Council will go over strategy for the next phase of the FTI, which includes completing current trail projects and focusing on trail improvements on Humphrey’s Trail, Arizona National Scenic Trail and Anderson Mesa and Rocky Moto Trail, as well as establishing a volunteer restoration program and hold several events in 2020. They will also discuss the Water Conservation Strategic Plan. These topics will be on the evening agenda that starts at 6 p.m. If you can’t make it to City Hall, you can watch the meeting on the city’s website.
