Flagstaff City Council Has No Discussions Set To Talk About The Police Department’s Budget

The City of Flagstaff has received a high volume of messages from the public over the last week regarding funding for the Flagstaff Police Department, stemming from last week’s protests. City officials say some people are calling for a level of defunding of the department, others call to support police and ask to maintain or even increase certain levels of funding for them. Officials say the Flagstaff City Council has not had a conversation specifically focused on the police department’s budget or adjusting it and there’s no consideration on discussing any measures related to the topic at this time.
