Flagstaff City Council Expected To Clear New Housing Project, Consider New Bike-Sharing Program

The Flagstaff City Council is back in session tonight with a regular meeting. Council is expected to approve, for the final time, a new condominium development on Ponderosa Parkway. The development is intended for workforce housing on 12 acres, with hopes it will help revitalize the strip mall to the east of the property. Most units are figured to be under $300-thousand dollars. Council passed the proposal last Tuesday. Council will also consider a contract with Gotcha, a bike share system company, who will provide a cost-effective bike share system that hopes to advance transportation options for Flagstaff and NAU. The evening session begins at 6 p.m. at City Hall and if you can’t make it to the meeting, you can watch it live on the city’s website.
