The Flagstaff City Council will meet Tuesday afternoon virtually once again due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Council will discuss a proposed housing development on Woody Mountain Road. Vintage Partners is requesting a rezone of roughly 23 acres for the Sky Cottages at Timber Sky which will consist of 208, one-to-three bedroom units. Council is negotiating various aspects of Sky Cottages including a minimum of 20 units with solar panels, and three electric vehicle charging stations. Sky Cottages still faces opposition from community members whose primary concerns involve increased traffic that the development might bring. The meeting starts at 3 p.m. and you can watch it online on the city’s website.
