Flagstaff City Council Approves Of EBikes On FUTS Trails, Passes Canyon del Rio Rezone Request

The Flagstaff City Council voted to allow electric bikes on paved and unpaved FUTS trails last night. After a long discussion and comments, council agreed to let the bikes on the paths around Flagstaff. The vote was on the first read. The second and final vote will come on June 18th. Council also approved zone changes for the Canyon del Rio project at Butler Avenue and Fourth Street. The property within the rezone would contain, 180 attached residential units, 670 apartment units and 225-thousand square feet of commercial development. There are just over 14-hundred units total planned for the property.
